This policy explains what information Shiro (“we”) collects when you use shirochat.com and the Shiro app, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, a securely hashed password, your username, display name, bio and profile picture.
• Your content: the characters you create, their portraits, and your chat messages, so you can pick up conversations on any device.
• Settings: your roleplay persona, theme and content preferences.
• Usage and technical data: daily message counts (for limits), your approximate country (to know which offers apply), and basic logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
• Payments: if you buy shiro+, the payment is handled by PayMongo. We receive confirmation of the payment, not your card or wallet details.

How we use it

• To run Shiro: generate character replies, save your chats, and show your profile.
• To keep Shiro safe: check messages and characters against our content rules and prevent abuse.
• To send emails you ask for, such as verification codes.
• To show ads to free users. Our ad partners (such as Google) may use cookies or device identifiers to show and measure ads.

AI processing

To write replies, your recent messages, the character’s description and your persona are sent to AI model providers through our AI service provider. They process this to generate the reply. Don’t share sensitive personal information in chats.

Sharing

We don’t sell your personal information. Your public profile and any characters you share publicly can be seen by other users. We share information with service providers only as needed to run Shiro (hosting, database, email, AI, payments and ads), or when required by law.

Your choices

• Edit your profile, change your email or password, and clear your chats in the app.
• Delete your account in Settings. This deletes your chats, characters and portraits.

Children

Shiro isn’t meant for children under 13. Mature content is only available to users who confirm they are 18 or older.

Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll change the date above when we do, and let you know in the app about important changes.
