Is Shiro free?
Yes. You get free credits every day for chatting, and you can create and share characters for free. shiro+ is an optional monthly membership with extras; see what you get with shiro+.
How old do I need to be?
13 or older. Content on Shiro is kept safe for that age; see our safety and community guidelines.
Are the characters real people?
No. Characters are AI, and their replies are written automatically. Some are made by our community and some by you. Characters can't be used to impersonate real private people.
Who can read my chats?
Your chats with characters are private to you. Safety systems check messages automatically, and our team may look at content that's been reported. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
Why did a character change the subject?
If a message goes against the guidelines, the character steers the story somewhere else instead of answering it. Rephrase, or take the story in a different direction.
Why does a character forget things?
Characters keep the recent part of a story in view, with a summary of what came before. Pin anything important; see how memory works.
I ran out of credits. What now?
Credits refill every day. On Android you can watch a short video for extra credits. shiro+ members get more credits every day.
Where can I use Shiro?
In any browser at shirochat.com/app, and on Android with the Shiro app.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings, then your account, and choose Delete account. Your account, chats and characters are deleted.
How do I contact you?
Use Support in the app's settings. Our team replies there.
